York, PA, August 4, 2009 - Nikki Hoffman, CPA and Darren Welker, CPA, CIA, both shareholders of Stambaugh Ness, have been named to Central Pennsylvania's Forty Under 40 List. They will be honored in October for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community. Central Penn Business Journal has sponsored the annual award program for 15 years.
 
Nikki, who has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, has been involved in a variety of engagements with a concentration in auditing. She has worked with many types of businesses, including engineering, manufacturing and distribution, agricultural, and pension and 401(k) plans. Nikki is the firm's Accounting and Auditing Service Line Director. Nikki has full oversight of all employee benefit plan audits. She serves as the firm's designated partner of our volunteer membership with the AICPA's Employee Benefit Audit Quality Center. 

Darren has 15 years of experience in public accounting with a focus in accounting and auditing services. He has provided customized solutions to public and privately owned companies in the small to middle markets of various industries, with concentrations in manufacturing, distribution, and financial institutions. As a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Darren also developed and advanced the firm's Risk Advisory Services, which includes consulting for corporate governance, risks and controls, enterprise risk management, and fraud risk management and is now focusing on managing the expansion of the firm's practice in the Manufacturing and Distribution Services Group.

Both Nikki and Darren are actively involved in community organizations.
