Darren is a principal with Stambaugh Ness and has fifteen years of experience in public accounting, with a focus in accounting and auditing services. He has provided customized solutions to public and privately owned companies in the small to middle markets of various industries, with concentrations in manufacturing, distribution, and financial institutions.

Most recently, Darren has had an active role in developing and advancing the firm’s Risk Advisory Services, which includes consulting for corporate governance, risks and controls, enterprise risk management, and fraud risk management. 

Darren is now applying the skills and experience gained in developing risk advisory services to managing the expansion of the firm’s practice in the manufacturing sector. In this role, Darren has responsibility for increasing the firm’s visibility and expanding services beyond traditional compliance support.

Darren recently spoke on the topic of Fraud Risk Management at the annual conference of the PA Association of Community Bankers and at a meeting of the Manufacturers Association of South Central PA.
 

Education and Professional Development

Darren graduated Cum Laude from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a BS Degree in Business Administration.  He is a certified public accountant and a certified internal auditor and is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Community Involvement 

Darren is active in various community organizations.  He is a graduate of the Leadership York program and currently serves as treasurer of the York Day Nursery, Inc, and the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center. Darren was also named to Central Pennsylvania's Forty Under 40 List for 2009 for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community.
